user Mike Elmore/Plantworks - Sealing holes in client pots 1/11/2006; 6:03:06 PM

Many clients request that we use thier containers and many of these have drain holes at the bottom which causes the occassional leak when over filled which can lead to foor surface damage to the floor or counter which the container is placed. Is there any chemical that can be used to seal these holes that will hold back water but is easily removed without damaging the container.

Aquarium cement. You can get it at any large pet supply store such as PetCo or Pet Supermarket. perhaps smaller aquarium stores too.

I would strongly suggest using a full depth liner or inexpensive poly planter inside any container that is not completely sealed.
