I know everybody is sick of Christmas but...

Does anybody have a source for medium to large sleighs for xmas?

How about some good plans for a build your own?

I’ve got one more holiday proposal to write and then I should be done for a while!

Thanks for your help.

Have you tried Barthelmess?

While I have your attention, I’ve been trying to source lifesize soldiers (hollow plastic) standing on drums painted in silver? I’m also looking for giant beaded fruit (apples, pears, pommegranate) suitable for 18 foot trees.

Hi Rolande,

Thanks, I didn’t notice that one in barcana’s catalogue. Still Would rather not pay $1500.00 if I could avoid it (it is nice though).

For your fruit try recengy international (800)782 7810 or perhaps Autograph Foliages(800)659 6151.

I saw some soldiers in Plantscapes catalogue and Barcana.

John: here’s a link to buy plans for a simple plywood sleigh:

For the fruit, how about buying plastic fruit and plastic crystal beads and rolling the fruit in the beads after applying a spray adhesive?

I saw a very nice antique cutter in good condition last week at Stone Soup Antiques in Ballston Spa NY (518-466-9653) Thats about 3 hour from you, and I believe it was around $300.I was tempted to buy it myself but we already have 4! but at least 2 get rented every year. Justin Carraige works (buggy.com)has a beautiful display only sleigh that we rent for outdoor use but cost us around $1500.00 several years ago.

For Rolande, I have not seen any large fruit recently but Superior Studio does have large scale items suitable for big trees
